With its sushi sensors, Yokogawa has launched an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solution for both the process and manufacturing industry. The line-up of IIoT sensors is used to monitor the condition of assets through trend monitoring. This enables users to schedule maintenance efficiently and on time, preventing unplanned downtime and making planned maintenance cheaper. Yokogawa's line-up includes a pressure sensor, a temperature sensor, and a vibration sensor. This article discusses the pressure sensor in more detail.

The Yokogawa XS530 pressure sensor is a wireless IIoT sensor that uses the LoRaWAN communication protocol. The sensor measures both pressure and temperature. Mounting the device is easy and can often be done directly on the pipe work by using the 1/2" NPT male or female connector. Because of the Atex certification it may be installed on assets in zone 1.
