With its sushi sensors, Yokogawa has launched an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solution for both the process and manufacturing industry. The line-up of IIoT sensors is used to monitor the condition of assets through trend monitoring. This enables users to schedule maintenance efficiently and on time, preventing unplanned downtime and making planned maintenance cheaper. Yokogawa's line-up includes a pressure sensor, a temperature sensor, and a vibration sensor. This article discusses the temperature sensor in more detail.
The Yokogawa XS550 temperature module is a wireless IIoT sensor using the Class A LoRaWAN communication protocol. The sensor supports any of the nine types of IEC standard thermocouples. Installation is made easy with the use of a mounting bracket and due to the Atex certification, it may be installed on assets in zone 1.
